Tailored Label Products Inc. (TLP), of Menomonee Falls, WI, USA, has won the 2005 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Grand Award for manufacturers who employ between one and 49 employees. TLP is a custom manufacturer of labels and diecut adhesives.
“We earned the award for our record sales, with year-over-year increases of 20 percent a year since 2003, at a time of flat growth in the printing industry as a whole,” says Mike Erwin, president. “Our employment has grown by 50 percent since 2003,” he adds.
For more than two decades, Tailored Label Products has produced labels for many markets, such as outdoor power equipment, biomedical, medical device, electronic, appliance, motor, and specialty diecut adhesives for bonding solutions.
“Our employees are always working hard to develop and implement new production methods,” says Erwin. “Their dedication, along with significant investments in innovative printing technologies and customization of existing equipment, has driven our product innovations and production excellence. We have earned a reputation as a troubleshooter and problem solver. We take on the most challenging product identification programs and engineer one-of-a-kind solutions. Our in-house capabilities include adhesive development for special applications, converting, prepress, printing, and diecutting.”
In 2005, TLP was voted one of the “Best Places to Work” in Southeastern Wisconsin by Milwaukee Magazine and MRA, The Management Association. Details are available at www.tailoredlabel.com.
