XericWeb Drying Systems, Neenah, WI, USA, and UV Ray S.r.l., Milan, Italy, have formed a strategic alliance to bring the next generation of UV curing to the North American narrow web flexographic printing market.
UV Ray will manufacture the Maxwell curing system for XericWeb Drying Systems, which will market, sell and service the equipment in North America. Introduced by UV Ray in 2003, the Maxwell system’s technology is based on UV Ray’s 15-plus years of experience in curing ultraviolet inks and coatings. Several hundred Maxwell systems have been installed at flexo printers in Italy and elsewhere.
“This is a perfect match for us,” says Rodger Whipple, president of XericWeb Drying Systems. “The Maxwell system offers significant improvements over our xeriCURE unit for many applications. By working with UV Ray, we are able to bring our North American customers a proven curing system that we feel is superior to anything on the market today.”
A Maxwell unit will be on display at XericWeb Drying Systems’ booth (#5437) at Labelexpo Americas in September.
