LSK Label, a well known printer and converter of high quality wine labels based in El Dorado Hills, CA, USA, has been acquired by York Label of York, PA, and Omaha, NE, USA. Founded in 1974 by John and Pat Grigsby, LSK was among the first to bring pressure sensitive labels to wine bottles, and is also a major label supplier to the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
York Label CEO Rich Egan comments, “With the LSK acquisition, York has made great progress in reaching our goal of gaining geographic production coverage across the country. In addition, the LSK acquisition serves as a tremendous expansion within one of our core markets, the wine and spirits industry. Not only do we foresee improved service to our customers, but we also anticipate increased value creation based on the remarkable organic growth rates that LSK has achieved in the past.”
In March of this year, York Label Holdings and Industrial Label Corporation, of Omaha, were acquired by Wind Point Partners to form the current York Label. According to Egan, the company is now one of North America’s largest label producers and the third largest producer of prime, pressure sensitive labels in the country. Headquarters is in Omaha. Wind Point Partners is a private equity investment firm with offices in Chicago, IL, and Southfield, MI, USA, and has $2 billion in capital under management.
