The Mühlbauer technology group, based in Roding, Germany, has joined with the government of Slovenia to personalize the nation’s passports. Mühlbauer is a partner of Cetis, a Slovenian producer of security printing products.
The new electronic passports have been personalized by the Muehlbauer Identifier 54 and issued by the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior since August. They are in line with the current European and international standards for passports and travel documents. The passport is machine readable and contains a chip to store personal and other biometric data.
