The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FFTA) today announced it has secured Don Carli, Director of ISC Responsible Enterprise Print (REP) with the Institute for Sustainable Communication, to present one of two keynote addresses at FFTA’s 2007 Annual Forum. The event is scheduled for May 6-9, 2007 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, in Montréal, QC, Canada.
Carli’s presentation, titled “How Climate Change and Demand for Sustainable Print Will Change Your Business”, will take place on Tuesday, May 8 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. He will explain how Fortune 1000 companies are under growing pressure from investors, markets, regulators, and other stakeholders to address climate change and meet the challenge of sustainability head-on. Attendees will learn what the term means, how it will dramatically change what buyers at major corporations will expect of printers, as well as practical steps printers can take to gain advantage in a carbon constrained world.
“Sustainability is a hot topic, and one that demands its own time slot. We are thrilled to have Don Carli, whose extensive experience and expertise on this topic as it pertains to printing is sure to benefit all who attend, whether they are already implementing a corporate sustainability initiative or have plans to launch one soon,” says David Nunez of Great Lakes Packaging, this year’s forum chair.
The 2007 lineup of Forum Technical Sessions also includes a follow-up session dedicated to the issue, called “Sustainability in Packaging”, which will take place immediately following Carli’s keynote address. This session will run concurrently alongside the Business Management session and the Emerging Technologies session. Click here for a full agenda.
