AVT, Rotoflex, Schreiner, and Dow Corning’s Jack win Global Awards

The first evening of Labelexpo saw the emergence of the 2007 winners of the Label Industry Global Awards, presented annually at Lablexpo. The winners were Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), Rotoflex, Schreiner Group, and Andrew Jack of Dow Corning.

Jack was the recipient of the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award, the fourth recipient since the award was launched in 2004. Jack’s career in the silicone industry spans 35 years. For many of those years he has been with Dow Corning, where he is a global account technical manager.

AVT was the winner of the Label Industry Award for New Innovation. The company is well known for the success of its Print Vision Helios web inspection system. Finalists were Stork Prints and Dims.

Rotoflex received the Label Industry Award for Continuous Innovation. The company has been a leader in the manufacture of high performance inspection, slitting, rewinding, and diecutting machinery for more than 25 years. Finalists for the award were RotoMetrics and Dow Corning.

The European Converter of the Year Award went to the Schreiner Group, an €87 million company with 600 employees. Pago and Caposa Group were the finalists.
