Stork Prints made its entry to the digital production printing market at Labelexpo Americas with its new prototype narrow web DSI (Digital System Integration) module. The DSI module boasts an open platform, meaning that it can easily be integrated into the printing presses from many label printing press manufacturers.
With top speeds of up to 115 feet per minute (35 meters per minute), the single pass inkjet printing module offers fast changeover times and handles all main paper and film label substrates. It gives label printers the chance to complement their existing press with inkjet technology. Additional modules can be installed for more colors. DSI uits can be configured as a dedicated press as well.
Stork Prints also premiered its interactive RSI-2 rotary screen module, an improved version of its popular RSI. The RSI-2 can be seamlessly integrated into the architecture, software and mechanics of the latest generation printing presses. It can be controlled through the main panel of the press providing simultaneous, centralized monitoring of all rotary screen positions alongside other printing and converting operations.
