Charter Films, located in Superior, WI, USA, has announced that its new W&H coextrusion line is fully operational. The line was installed in late December 2008 at the Superior facility.
The new W&H coextrusion line is equipped with three individual extruders to offer customers customized film products. The company says the additional capacity also enhances its ability to service key markets such as food and medical packaging. The line is equipped with controls and technology that reduce energy costs, scrap and downtime, which, Charter says, reduces manufacturing costs and assists with sustainability efforts.
“This additional capacity sends a clear, positive message to our customers that Charter is a strong, stable supplier, even in these difficult economic times. We continue to grow and to expand our capabilities and we truly value the support of our loyal customers,” says Brian Beuning, director of sales and marketing.
