Sessions of York, a privately-owned printer and label converter located on the outskirts of York, UK, has been put up for sale by its ownership, the Sessions family. The company has been in business for 198 years, reports Packaging News, a UK-based industry publication.
According to the report, Mark Sessions, chairman and managing director, told The Press, a local daily paper based in York, that as he is approaching retirement age, he has decided to put the business up for sale.
"But whether a sale takes place in six months or six years depends on whether I find the right pair of hands – someone who will keep the company going in the same way that we have run it," Sessions told The Press.
Sessions of York has been manufacturing labels since 1938. The company employs 100 people at its York facility.
