AB Graphic International has announced the development of the Omega HSR, a high speed slitter inspection rewinder that benefits from larger unwind/rewind diameters and runs at speeds up to 400m/m (1,312 fpm). The system is equipped with a high specification as standard and can be further enhanced through the addition of a range of options, including converting modules.
Available in web widths of 330mm (13”), 430mm (17”) and 530mm (21”), the HSR is equipped for 800mm (148”) unwind and 610mm (24”) rewind diameters. Standard features include electronic web guide with ultrasonic sensor for opaque and clear substrates, scissor knife slitting, auto knife throw off, choice of rewind mandrels from 25mm (1”) to 75mm (3”), touch screen for easy job set up with error display, label or length count with programmable slow down and stop feature, plus total batch count.
“We launched the HSR at Labelexpo Europe where the design concept and high performance were very well received,” says Tony Bell, sales director. “We are delighted at the level of acceptance and the number of machines sold worldwide since the show.”
Options for the HSR include Flytec 100 percent print face camera inspection, missing label detection, flag and splice detection, crush or razor knife slitting, rotary diecutting, bulk waste rewinder and motorized reel lifting.
AB Graphic International is a supplier of label converting and finishing machines with facilities in the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Germany and United States.
