Brushfoil LLC, Guilford, CT, USA, a global manufacturer of brushed films and papers, has once again received ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system based on standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The new certification has been awarded through January 2013.
Jim Parker, a Brushfoil manager, comments: “Three years ago, we sought and achieved such certification to continue developing a system to help guarantee our products and services. This renewed certification provides a greatly improved level of comfort for our customers around the world. ISO 9001:2008 certification ensures that Brushfoil has in place a quality system with a proven formula for producing a consistent, superior product.”
ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 157 countries with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system. The North American organization that awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification of Brushfoil is Intertek Systems of Boxborough, MA, USA.
“Ultimately the ISO system improves the consistency of our raw materials because we also insist on excellence from our suppliers. This will be especially beneficial as we seek an even more aggressive international posture in 2010,” adds Parker.
Brushfoil is a division of Interfilm Holdings Inc., Greenville, SC, USA.
