David Andrew Samide, 32, a resident of Wheaton, IL, USA, died at home on March 21 after a battle with cancer. He had fought for seven years against brain cancer, continuing to work and enjoy his friendships with industry and media people, and his coworkers.
Upon graduation from North Central College in Illinois with a degree in marketing, he joined Prime UV Systems in December 2000 as a marketing assistant. His work with the media and trade show communities, as well as Prime UV customers, earned him a promotion to marketing manager shortly thereafter.
David is survived by his parents, Andy and Judy Samide, his sister Amy and brother Mike, a nephew and two nieces. Private services were held March 24.
