For the third straight year, Label Technology, Merced, CA, USA, has won the Best of Show award for Excellence in Flexography at the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association’s (FFTA) 2010 Forum. The winning entry, in the Mid Web category, was for a Skintimate Moisturizing Crème Shave Pouch. The project involved a high degree of difficulty including tight registration, vignettes, and well-executed screen values.
In addition to the Best of Show, Label Technology was also presented with two additional awards for mid web, process, film projects. A Silver award was received for a tri-pack wrapper for John Frieda Sheer Blond samples, and a Bronze award for Foster Farms Grilled Chicken Breast Strips lidstock. The John Frieda application required highlights, skin tones, and shadows, combined with extremely fine detail and color requirements, and the Foster Farms project required a broad tonal range with fine detail and vibrant solids.
