AVT launches ‘iPrint’ phone app for print monitoring

September 15, 2010

New additions to the Helios II inspection system have been implemented, and more will be introduced in the near future.

Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), manufacturer of print inspection systems, has developed an application for iPhone users called iPrint, which enables label converters to obtain real-time information from the production floor remotely. The app will provide details about press performance, including defects found by AVT systems. Production status, quality information, statistical data and more are available immediately through the AVT iPrint application.

The company’s PrintVision/Helios II has added features to enhance its performance, such as the bar codes and variable data module, which ensures 100 percent inspection of UPC codes, data matrix codes and variable numbers. Soon to come are applications that include DeltaE color measurements. The new addition enables color consistency that meets industry and brand owners’ standards.

ProMIS permits communication with MIS/ERP production systems. It enables shorter and faster setup and increases automation, as well as adding more accurate information to MIS systems and offering better control over raw materials and the production process.
