Squid Ink, a manufacturer of inks and inkjet printing equipment, has installed its VDP In-Line variable data printing system at Taylor Made Labels, a narrow web converter in Lake Oswego, OR, USA.
The four head 13” VDP system, sold through Eaglewood Technologies, a partner/reseller for Squid Ink, was installed on an Arpeco rewind inspection system and has the ability to be moved to various platforms in the pressroom. The system is being used to print a counter on the liner of pharmaceutical labels. Taylor Made Labels “experienced a 250 percent increase in production through use of the VDP In-Line Printing System.”
The converter provides pressure sensitive labels to food and beverage processors and distributors, grocers and retailers, and health and beauty manufacturers.
The VDP In-Line variable data printing system prints up to 8.4” of any variable data like sequential numbers, sequential bar codes, traceability codes, or game codes on tickets, tags and labels. The system conveniently mounts to an existing narrow web flexo press or rewind/inspection unit and prints in-line to avoid taking labels off-line to print variable information with thermal transfer printers.
Squid Ink is headquartered in Brooklyn Park, MN, USA, and has manufacturing plants in the US and in China.
