Brook & Whittle, a label converter based in Connecticut, USA, opens a new manfacturing center this month in the town of Guilford, about five miles from the company’s headquarters in North Branford. The new location has 75,000 square feet of space, and will double the company’s annual production capacity.
The plant will cater to Brook & Whittle’s high volume production work for the beverage market and will house a 17", 22" and a new 40" press with additional ancillary and support equipment.
“During the last year we have made several significant investments to strengthen our capabilities,” says CEO Stephen Stewart. “Investing in two sites increases our capacity for future growth, provides security for our customers and provides redundancy to both facilities.”
Stewart adds that the company will add about 20 new jobs this year.
“We are very grateful to the town of Guilford for its support in helping us establish our new facility there,” he says. “Brook & Whittle will continue to invest in cutting edge technology and to seek out opportunities for growth in order to create an innovative, sustainable and secure business, capable of meeting its customer’s needs now and in the future.”
