The Gallus road show completed a successful stop at the Dallas distribution center for Pitman, an Agfa Company, to showcase the Gallus ECS 340 label press. Despite unusually foul weather for this time of year in the American Southwest, 42 representatives from 22 companies stopped to see the press and discuss their printing needs with Gallus, Pitman and the other partner companies who participated in the road show. Representatives from 3M, Apex, tesa, DuPont, Esko, Xymid, Torelief and Daetwyler also attended the event and displayed their products.
The road show is designed to showcase the new Gallus ECS 340 flexographic press at convenient locations around the country. It is mounted on a modified 53-foot semi-trailer with custom staging and foul weather curtains to keep visitors dry, so there’s never a rain-out to an event.
“The showcase offered visitors a wonderful opportunity to see the best the industry has to offer today,” says Tom Alba, vice president of packaging at Pitman. “The Gallus press brought all the flexo pieces together and provided a roadmap of how flexo, digital and wide format work in sync to provide a greater opportunity for expanding customer applications.”
Following the Dallas and Philadelphia road shows, Gallus reported the sale of six ECS 340 presses, bringing the total to 12 in North America since its debut.
Additional road shows are planned in the coming months. Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to go to www.therockpress.com/roadshows.shtml to obtain schedule information and register, to allow Gallus staff to plan appropriately for visitors. Alternately, interested parties may contact Gallus ECS 340 product manager Rob Wray at 513-543-7364, or by email at Robert.Wray@gallus-group.com.
