Adhesives Research, a developer and manufacturer of custom pressure sensitive adhesive tapes, specialty coatings, films and laminates, launches three new high-performance splicing tapes: ARclad 92719,ARclad 92495Y and ARclad 8811HC.
ARclad 92719 is a double-faced tape designed to deliver an aggressive bond to one surface, while providing a clean release without adhesive residue from a second surface. Featuring a 2 mil clear polyester film carrier coated with a high-tack adhesive on one side, and a lower-tack adhesive on the other side, ARclad 92719 is suited for bonding films such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polyester in core starts and flying splice applications.
ARclad 92495Y is a yellow, single-faced, self-wound polyester film coated with a high-performance acrylic adhesive that delivers reliable bonds for applications where high temperature resistance and aggressive adhesion are required. The tape is recommended for single- and double-butt splicing, automatic splicing operations and safety splices, and delivers quick bonds to polycoated, kraft, and board papers, fabrics; polyester; polyvinyl chloride; and composite materials.
ARclad 8811HC is a double-faced tape designed to meet the needs of high-speed flying splice applications. Featuring a white paper carrier coated on both sides with a high coat weight of an aggressive rubber-based adhesive, ARclad 8811HC offers quick stick properties to a wide variety of difficult bonding surfaces in high-speed applications. The tape grabs easily to flexible films, polycoated papers, low surface energy films, foils, polycoated papers and paper-boards. Components of this tape meet FDA requirements for indirect food contact per applicable sections of 21CFR part 175.105.
Based in Glen Rock, PA, USA, Adhesives Research also operates manufacturing facilities in Ireland and Colombia, has sales and marketing offices in Great Britain and Singapore, a representative office in Shanghai, China, and sales representation in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. The Company’s North American and Limerick, Ireland, facilities are certified to the updated ISO 9001 and ISO 131485 standards.
