Western Shield Label, Rancho Dominguez, CA, USA, has named Brandon Byrne to serve as the company’s first controller.
Byrne comes from a variety of industries including construction and manufacturing, and has a strong background in corporate finance with an emphasis on developing and tracking company-wide financial metrics. In his new role, he will streamline the policies and procedures for all Western Shield accounting functions.
“I am very excited about this decision,” says Thomas Moyer, president of Western Shield. “Brandon brings some exciting new skills to Western Shield. His background in cost accounting will enable us to increase efficiency and cut costs, all the while maintaining our excellent quality. He will also work closely with our operations team and will assist them with implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives.”
Byrne holds a BS in business management from the University of Pepperdine and is in the process of completing their MBA program as well. He has held positions as VP of finance and operations and controller for companies such as Pacific National Group and Shinano Kenshi Corporation, respectively.
