Unilux has strengthened its customer service in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the opening of a service and repair center at its office in Düsseldorf, Germany. Unilux has hired Guido Reinersmann as the service technician to provide repair services, verify spare parts orders, technical information and field support. He also assist Volker Schlevoigt, managing director, EMEA, with product demonstrations.
“When we established our Düsseldorf office to head direct sales and manage representatives in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, we told customers and prospects we would have a facility within five years to stock products and spare parts and provide repair services,” Schlevoigt says. “With the opening of our service center, we have kept our promise and proof our commitment to the European, Middle East and African market. We’ll now have a larger inventory of products and spare parts in Europe, and we will be able to ship them faster. Our Düsseldorf service center can help our customers take advantage of European Union customs regulations and reduced tariffs and duties wherever they are applicable.”
Most repair work will be done at the Düsseldorf service center, but Reinersmann will work on-site for larger Unilux systems, such as those used by steel mills, metals service centers and wide-web printing and converting plants. Schlevoigt and Reinersmann will also be able to provide technical support in English and German by telephone and email. Reinersmann is a certified power electronics technician with more than 20 years of experience in servicing electrical and electronic equipment. He has focus on detecting defects in printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components while working for companies in several industries. He regularly participates in seminars and courses to continue his technical education and expertise.
Unilux, headquartered in Saddle Brook, NJ, USA, is in its 49th year of designing and manufacturing industrial surface inspection lighting systems for the textile, printing/converting, metals and papermaking industries, and heavy-duty strobe lighting systems for the film and video industry.
