Lüscher, the Swiss manufacturer of computer-to-plate systems for different printing technologies, has appointed Anderson & Vreeland, Inc. as its exclusive distributor of CTP systems for photoengraving sold throughout the United States and Canada effective immediately.
Lüscher offers a combination of drum and flat-bed CTP systems and has experience gained from over 2,000 worldwide installations. Lüscher’s XPose! Flex computer-to-plate system features an internal drum that remains static during the imaging process, eliminating vibration and the need for dynamic balancing of the drum. Continuous Calibration Technology (CCT) monitors the laser diodes to guarantee constant, standardized imaging and production reliability. Lüscher also manufactures the MultiDX, a flat-bed CTP system ideally suited for photoengraving, with resolutions as high as 10,000 dpi.
"Lüscher systems complement our innovative line-up of best-in-class computer-to-plate systems so we can serve a broader range of applications and markets,” notes Darin Lyon, VP and general manager of A&V. “As we look to the future A&V will continue to introduce technical innovation and forward-thinking solutions,” adds Lyon.
Colin Price, sales manager of Lüscher AG Maschinenbau, says “A&V’s strong sales and service organization in the United States and Canada, combined with its extensive knowledge of flexographic printing, are important strengths that will help expand our business in North America.”
