Armor's new AWR 8 ribbon is touted as one of its most versatile wax ribbons in the AWR range. The AWR 8 ribbon is compatible with a vast array of label materials and can print equally well on rough uncoated papers as on coated papers and synthetic materials. It is also compatible with most pre-printed labels.
The AWR 8 ribbon was designed for printing at low temperatures, making it possible to extend the lifespan of print heads. In addition, the ribbon is printable across a wide range of energy settings, enabling it to be used to replace older ribbons without the need to adjust print settings.
Compared with other standard wax ribbons, Armor says the AWR 8 ribbon offers superior resistance to friction, which means, for example, that it can withstand a bit more rubbing between two boxes. The ribbon's characteristics enable the AWR 8 ribbon to fulfil the majority of end user requirements for standard labeling applications, such as storage, transport labels, etc.
