This week, Kodak joined brand owners for a panel discussion on product diversion at the 10th Anti-Counterfeiting & Brand Protection West Coast Conference. The panel explored the criminal causes of unauthorized distribution channels and the costly results of diverted products. Keith J. Cutri, Kodak’s director of business development for brand protection, sounded off on these issues with executives from Sony Electronics and Intel Corporation on January 30 at 11:00 a.m.
“Diversion is a serious business problem that often results in mishandled and contaminated products,” said Cutri, a former FBI special agent with more than 25 years of industry experience.
“Kodak is one of the leading companies working to strengthen weak spots and safeguard supply chains. Our work with global companies enhances the overall assessment, analysis, development and implementation of a total brand protection strategy.”
The panel discussion aimed to provide brand owners with best practices to prevent diversion. Cutri’s expertise helped attendees learn how to better understand the full scope of diversion, forge stronger working relationships with resellers and other distribution partners, and utilize technologies to identify counterfeit products and system vulnerabilities.
Kodak’s experts also met with attendees during the Anti-Counterfeiting & Brand Protection West Coast Conference to discuss examples of brand owners and consumer packaged goods companies using Kodak’s brand protection solutions. A technology showcase demonstrated a dual serialization track and trace solution comprised of Kodak Traceless Antidiversion and Kodak Traceless Color CIJ Systems.
