UPM Raflatac has announced the qualification of a wide range of paper and film labelstocks for iSys Label’s LED toner-based digital label printers. To date, UPM Raflatac has qualified more than 40 products for both the APEX 1290 press and the EDGE 850 desktop label printer and expects to qualify additional products as its print-on-demand product portfolio expands in the Americas.

“UPM Raflatac is committed to continuous innovation,” says Linnea Keen, VIP business director, Americas, UPM Raflatac. “Our partnerships and products provide labelstock converters with the options they need to drive their business and profitability to new levels of excellence.”

According to the company, UPM Raflatac’s qualified LED toner-based product offering can be used in a variety of print-on-demand applications and end-uses, including roll-to-sheet/VIP labeling; health and beauty and industrial chemical labeling; and retail information and wine labeling. These paper and film labelstocks have been carefully selected to provide the highest-quality resolution when printed on LED toner-based printers.

“The pace of the digital labeling and packaging market is increasing,” says Candice Kulcher, marketing manager, iSys Label. “iSys Label and UPM Raflatac have teamed up to provide labelstock converters with digital print-on-demand solutions that increase their operational flexibility and customer responsiveness while ensuring the highest of quality.”
