Harper Corp. honored with Innovation Award at ICE USA

April 30, 2013

The anilox roll supplier won the C2 American Innovation Award for its Phantom QD ink proofing system.

Global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America was recently bestowed the C2 American Innovation Award for its Phantom QD ink proofing system. The QD has the ability to simulate not only traditional flexo ink proofing but also flexo images, direct gravure, and offset gravure printing processes in a flat bed format, which can accommodate flexible and ridge substrates. The award was given during the 2013 International Converting Exhibition (ICE) USA event, an annual flexographic convention that was held in Orlando, FL, USA, April 9-11.

Throughout the event, representatives from Harper Corporation were on hand to answer questions regarding the company's latest products and services. According to the company, topics like the new HEX division and the HIVE series of anilox rolls were highly popular. Additionally, HarperScientific representatives were on hand to display the Phantom QD ink proofing system and provide information to interested attendees. The team entered this system into the competition for the C2 American Innovation Awards, pitting the QD system against entries submitted by over 45 other organizations. The Harper team’s QD ink proofing system was awarded one of six C2 American Innovation Awards for meeting the criteria of groundbreaking work and contributing to the flexographic field.

"We are honored to receive the C2 American Innovation Award," says Tony Donato of Harper Corporation of America. "At Harper, we are continually looking for new ways to help our customers produce higher quality products. Additionally, we are constantly seeking ways to improve not only our products but also the support that we offer to each and every customer. The Phantom QD ink proofing system has allowed us to accomplish both of these goals while helping our customers push the limits of today's flexographic technology."
