Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web will host an AWA-sponsored seminar at its Center for Technical Excellence in Plymouth, MN, USA on June 11, 2013. This workshop, titled Introduction to Heat Shrink Sleeve Label Technologies is designed to provide an all-round essential briefing along with workshop activities presented by Flint Group and Esko. This will be a two-day workshop. On Tuesday, June 11, there will be presentations and hands-on activities at Flint Group. On Wednesday, June 12, there will be activities and demonstrations at Accraply.

This seminar is supported by leading industry partners – Accraply, Bonset America, Esko, Polysack Flexible Packaging, and Flint Group. Program leader William Llewellyn, vice president and senior consultant, AWA Alexander Watson Associates, says: “With the significant support and participation of leading international companies in this growing technology arena, we have been able to create a very special opportunity for anyone who needs or wants to gain a sound education in heat shrink sleeves.”

Deanna Whelan, global marketing manager for Flint Group, says, “Flint Group welcomes the opportunity to open its facility to AWA and our co-supplier partners to increase awareness of this growing label application. Seminar attendees will see, first-hand, the printing of shrink labels using UV flexo LED technology – a revolutionary process supporting a growing market segment. We are excited to be a part of this growing market segment and thrilled to exhibit the future of narrow web printing.”

Participants will take away a printed manual, featuring all the presentations and other useful information for future reference; and, as well as providing a full two-day learning agenda, the event is an opportunity for peer networking and extending personal contacts across the industry.
