Wausau Coated to expand in Australia

A new facility will provide shorter lead times and reduced costs for label converters in Australia and New Zealand.

Wausau Coated Products Inc., a manufacturer of custom-designed pressure sensitive products, label materials and coating technologies, announced the expansion of its international sales program with the planned opening of an Australia-based distribution facility in 2013.

Heading up sales operations for the region will be Joe D’Antini, regional sales manager-Oceania. D’Antini comes to Wausau Coated with an extensive background in the pressure sensitive industry including experience in operations, product management and sales. We are excited to have Joe D'Antini on our team. His experience in the Industry is invaluable and will enable us to be a premier supplier to the narrow web label market in Australia and New Zealand,” says Ben Reif, President, Wausau Coated Products.

Wausau Coated will provide a variety of pressure sensitive roll products including wine grades, films and specialty substrates optimized for use on HP Indigo digital presses. Known industry-wide for being flexible, innovative, and responsive, Wausau Coated specializes in developing solutions that are designed to meet customer-specific applications and end-user needs. The addition of this facility will add slitting, warehousing and distribution capacity, allowing Wausau Coated to provide shorter lead times and reduced costs to label converters in Australia and New Zealand.
