Printech Middle East, based in Dubai, is Omet's new representative in the Middle East region. Printech is a provider of consulting and technical products - including equipment, components and consumables - for the Printing and Packaging industry in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
Printech says its objective is to make of Omet one of the top three players in the Middle East region by training technical teams to provide prompt after-sales service to existing customers and install at least one machine in each country in the Middle East in the next two years. Printech is fully engaged in the development of business in the region with the support of Omet's technology. The most recent installations include two main players in the area: Future Pack, having two XFlex X6, and the upcoming installation at Al Maha in Oman.
"The fact that we are based in the Middle East region marks a considerable competitive advantage since the regional market is expected to grow very rapidly for the next 10 to15 years," the company says. "As a strategic move, Printech opened two regional offices in Saudi Arabia which, along with the headquarters in Dubai, act as central hubs for the whole region. Main trends in the MENA market show a growing interest in labels, now focusing on high quality labels with an increasing level of complexity, and including finishing like foil, screen, and gravure and so on. The market sector, which counts for the greatest increase is the food & beverage where the per capita consumption is expanding above 10% year on year and whose demand of packaging is expected to rise accordingly. Consequently, the food & beverage label market is where Printech is mostly concentrating its marketing efforts."
Jay Chawda, technical director of Printech Middle East, says, “We are very enthusiastic about our partnership with Omet and look forward to a long term mutual success.”
