Jindal Poly Films acquires ExxonMobil's BOPP business

The acquisition involves 5 BOPP production locations in the US and Europe.

Jindal Poly Films Ltd. has completed the acquisition of ExxonMobil's Global business of BOPP films, effective October 1. The company had signed the framework agreement in October 2012 and the sale purchase agreement in May 2013.

The acquisition involves 5 BOPP production locations in the US and Europe. The manufacturing sites are in Georgia and Oklahoma in the US, and in Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium in Europe. The transaction also includes a technology center and sales office in Rochester, NY, USA and an office in Luxembourg.

This acquisition has increased the capacity of approximately 445,000 tons per annum for BOPP films.
