PeterLynn adds another ABG Omega

December 18, 2013

The UK label converter's new Digicon-Lite model is a simple finishing system for varnishing.

AB Graphic International Ltd., has announced the sale of a second Omega converting line to Corby, UK label printer PeterLynn Ltd. The Digicon-Lite model supplied is a simple finishing system for varnishing and joins a higher specification Digicon Series 2 machine installed by the company in 2012.

Discussing the purchase, Vicky Waine, sales and marketing manager at PeterLynn, says, ”The investment in this new equipment was to meet the demand from new markets for varnished labels, particularly from the microbrewery industry. Due to the increased rate of production from our digital printing press and with the additional work solely converted on our existing Digicon, we required additional finishing capacity. The new Digicon-Lite is used for all our varnish jobs, freeing up our Digicon Series 2 for more complex hot foil, spot color and laminating work. Our customers benefit from the improved lead times and we can now often meet last minute requests and deliveries within 48 hours.”

“We are delighted to have supplied PeterLynn with a second converting line reflecting their success in investing in digital printing technology,” says Mark Hyde of AB Graphic International. “The Digicon-Lite was developed to meet simple digital label converting needs. The system includes 700mm unwind with automatic tension control, electronic web guide, full rotary flexographic coating station, UV curing, semi-rotary die cutting station, waste matrix removal and slitting. The model supplied offers a 25.5 inch repeat and is equipped with electronic dispro.”

Established in 1985, PeterLynn supplies a wide range of markets including the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and beauty industries.
