I.D. Images LLC, a pressure sensitive label converter in Brunswick, OH, USA, will be will be announcing the addition of linerless labels and printer during the WestPack tradeshow in Anaheim, CA, USA, February 11-13, 2014, in Booth 5705.

Linerless labels are growing in popularity due to the savings and sustainability benefits achieved by eliminating the liner. Some of the benefits of using linerless products include an average of 50% more labels per roll giving the customer higher efficiencies with less down time and fewer roll changes, less storage area and lower transportation costs which can translate in up to a 50% decrease in shipping and storage costs, and because there is no liner to dispose of or recycle, the product is better for the environment and eliminates liner waste that previously ended up in a landfill.

Linerless labels are most commonly used in transportation, warehousing, weigh scale and pricing applications but the food and health and beauty markets are beginning to move towards linerless products to reduce costs, according to recent industry reports.

Tim Mlnarik, director of sales and marketing for I.D. Images, states, “I think linerless labels will see a dramatic growth rate over the next several years. The technological advances have made it a very compelling alternative for a lot of users. I.D. Images has made a significant capital investment to supply our distributors with the ability to offer these products to their customers.”
