Labelnet - a manufacturer of labels, tickets and tags - has recently purchased an eight color, full-UV Edale FL-3 label and flexible packaging press with an array of additional options.
UK-based Labelnet has been producing labels since 1999, supplying to a wide range of industries for a variety of applications. The company says it began its search for a new machine primarily to improve efficiencies and that Edale’s FL-3 was "the perfect match."
The FL-3’s on the fly job set-up and storage capability were crucial features in making this decision. “Being able to prepare jobs in this way in our production facility is going to create a massive advantage for us. Not only will it increase productivity, we’ll also be able to reduce lead times, which ultimately means we’ll be able to take more work without compromising on the quality of our products,” says Mark Slattery, operations director at Labelnet.
The FL-3 also allows Labelnet to explore a wider range of projects with its ability to produce unsupported material and board substrates “We believe that being able to extend our offering with new products such as these is going to allow us to become a real force to be reckoned with in the UK labelling sector,” says Simon Ewles, sales manager at Labelnet.
One of the many special features of the FL-3 that Labelnet have chosen to invest in is the 100% web inspection system which allows them to automatically ensure that every label they supply to customers is of perfect quality. They will be offering this as standard on every product they produce on their new FL-3.
Edale says it is looking forward laying the foundations for a continuing relationship with Labelnet. Neil Southgate, managing director at Labelnet says: “Based on our experience with the company to date, we’re confident that Edale are well positioned to offer us the continued support and back up that we will need before, during and after installation.”
