Altech has been appointed in a bid to address channel demand for consumer label printer products.

Printing products company Datamax-O’Neil has appointed Altech Computers Corporation as a value-added distributor for its products in Australia.

Datamax-O’Neil has appointed Altech in a bid to address channel demand for consumer label printer products through Altech, enhancing its reach into the consumer market. Established in 1997, Altech offers a broad range of products to the IT-reseller and system-builder channel.

According to a company statement, Altech will carry Datamax-O’Neil’s E-Class printers with wireless and portable battery pack options, as well as the full range of PCL-enabled Workstation Series and Performance Series printers, bringing laser and ink-jet PCL technology to the thermal label printer market.

Datamax-O'Neil regional manager for A/NZ, Vino Rodrigues, said he delighted to embark on a new partnership with Altech.

"The company’s new focus to expand into the Automation and Identification (AIDC) and Point-Of-Sale (POS) markets have positioned them as the ideal partner to bring Datamax-O’Neil products into the consumer space,” he says.
