Multi-Plastics celebrates 35 years in business

July 30, 2014

From one slitter in one facility in 1979, the supplier today has four divisions and ten locations.

Multi-Plastics Inc. has announced it will be celebrating its 35th year in business at Labelexpo Americas 2014 this year.  Incorporated in August 1979, John R. Parsio began with one slitter in one location supplying polystyrene window film to envelope manufacturers.  Through diversification and expansion, Multi-Plastics, Inc. now has four divisions including film and sheet extrusion and film distribution with 10 locations in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.

After partnering with premier film manufacturers, Multi-Plastics established itself as a leader in the slitting and converting of thin gauge plastic film in rolls or sheets supplying the envelope, carton, label, printing and packaging industries. In 2010, Multi-Plastics purchased two extrusion facilities solidifying its position as a supplier of polystyrene film and sheet and polyester sheet to thermoformers. Today’s products can be found in virtually every household and supermarket around the world.

“We take pride in being able to help our customers solve their plastic film and sheet processing and application problems. By working with our customers and vendors we can quickly adapt to change in our traditional markets and proactively reach for new ventures,” explains John R. Parsio Jr., executive vice president of Multi-Plastics, Inc. and president of Multi-Plastics Extrusions, Inc.

Parsio adds, “We are grateful to our employees for their dedication, our customers for their continued support, and our suppliers for their quality products.”

Multi-Plastics will have its sales meeting in conjunction with Labelexpo and will have over 30 sales, marketing, and executives in attendance at the show.
