Omet to demo XFlex X2 at open house in South Africa

September 2, 2014

XFlex X2 is designed to reduce set-up times and waste.

Omet has announced an open house on Sept. 18 hosted by Presstec, taking place at the facility of their customer Label Link in Cape Town, South Africa, to demonstrate its XFlex X2.

The open house will start with an introduction to Omet’s range of machines by Sergio Villa, OMET’s regional manager. Afterwards, attendees will be invited to partake in the demonstration of the XFlex X2 and other OMET products. Following the demonstration, attendees will have the opportunity to schedule individual meetings with Presstec and OMET representatives who will answer any technical or commercial questions.

XFlex X2 is designed to reduce set-up times and waste to a minimum in order to make operator work as easy as possible. Omet says traditional equipment coexists with Omet’s most advanced innovations, which offer the shortest web path available on the market, a quick ink change system, and chilled drums, making it possible for converters to switch between self-adhesive and flexible film printing as low as 12 microns.

The XFlex X2 line is 370mm wide with eight UV flexo colors, cold foil and diecutting. XFlex X2's digital perks include cross printing registration adjustments and automatic diecutting pre-registration.

This September, Omet is showcasing all of the presses belonging to the XFlex line: XFlex X6 and XFlex X4 will also be on stage at Labelexpo Americas (Rosemont, Illinois, USA, Sept. 9-11).
