Flexo Label Advantage Group (FLAG), a buying group for small to mid-sized label converters, has announced that following a successful Labelexpo, its memberhip is up more than 20% in 2014.
FLAG founder and president John McKay says that several converters followed the flags to the FLAG booth in Rosemont, resulting in several new members. "FLAG is the buying group for label converters who want to reduce their costs while still remaining independent," McKay says. "LabelExpo was a tremendous show for us this year. Our buying group concept in this market was brand new four years ago and now converters are really starting to understand that there is great strength in numbers.”
According to McKay, one FLAG Member in Connecticut recently stated, “I’ve never written a check. I buy stuff I need and I collect checks. There is no downside!”
