Due to its consistently high marks from Tension Corporation, INX International has been awarded its seventh consecutive Citation of Excellence award for 2013. INX International was established in 1866 and is a leading envelope and packaging solutions manufacturer with over 1,000 associates worldwide.
The honor is reserved for supplier partners of Tension, the second largest domestic envelope manufacturer in the US, that score in the top 1% and exhibit the highest standards for quality, technical service and sales support.
“On behalf of our organization, we are very proud to be recognized again with this award from the Tension Corporation,” remarks Rick Clendenning, president and CEO of INX International. “We take pride, not only in producing outstanding products, but providing superior support services to our customers. Our team working with Tension continues to meet their demands and make them a preferred choice in the envelope and packaging segment.”
Tension, which is based in Kansas City, MO, introduced its active supplier performance program in 1983. Employees evaluate the total performance of direct, indirect and service suppliers by providing graded ratings in five categories: product quality; delivery performance; pricing and invoice accuracy; customer service performance; and technical and sales support. Each category is then scored on a 10-point system measuring 4-5 individual criteria.
“INX is a trusted and high performance partner and a leader in ink technologies,” says Lon Robinson, director of research and development for Tension Corporation. “They continue to provide us with excellent sales and service support and consistency in their product performance.
“We survey employees at each of our facilities and INX continues to impress us by operating at a very high level,” Robinson adds. “They are a good group of people to work with and the ink we use is proprietary. Their team is always very responsive to our needs and it’s amazing how fast they react to our requests. This interaction allows Tension to better respond to our customers’ requirements, which are often time sensitive. That’s why they are very deserving of this award.”
