Dienes, an industrial splitting specialist, conducted three technical seminars with a total of 115 participants in Hamburg, Korntal and Lohmar.
Each three-hour session focused on two slitting methods: shear cut and crush cut. In addition to teaching the fundamentals, the differences, advantages and various areas of application were discussed in the first teaching block.
The second teaching block highlighted perfect knife positioning, which deals with slitting quality and optimum material usage. Participants were able to witness the consequences of incorrectly adjusted knives and knife holders, as well as troubleshooting tips.
The seminar concluded with an overview of the Dienes solution portfolio in the area of shear and crush cutting. Participants also received the chance to ask questions and exchange information at the end.
“For us, our seminars provide a great opportunity to further intensify contact to the companies,” says Dietmar Fritz. “We are pleased about the high uptake and relevance of our topics with the companies.”
Due to demand, Dienes has already planned three further seminars in spring 2015 on the same topic.
The company has been in business for over 100 years and houses more than 400 employees. The product range includes round and straight knives, knife holders and complete slitting systems and valves.
