Datamax-O’Neil has launched its new series of RLe Series portable label printer. The company has improved its RLe Series design, including larger storable memory, longer 8-hour battery life, multiple language support and an optional multi-bay charger that accommodates a number of batteries simultaneously.
The portable printer is compatible with Android and Windows based devices and can serve as a drop-in for replacement for competitive models. RLe printers also offer flexibility in wireless communication with a dual 803.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth radio that adheres to a wide range of network security protocols. They are an easy-to-integrate solution using open architecture configuration software and a variety of Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms that allow the RLe to be tailored to your particular retail environment.
MDM service tools utilize Infinite Skyz Mobile Device Manager, which provides connectivity and configuration management over a Bluetooth connection, as well as D-O Mobile Print. D-O Mobile Print allows users to navigate to websites and print using the application’s web browser. In this application, the print data is transferred via Bluetooth, 802.11 or USB. D-O Mobile Print also provides users with the ability to take and print images from camera phones, as well as access Google Maps.
This portable thermal printer possesses the ability to operate in challenging front- and back-end retail environments. According to the company, standard features include quick, accurate printing; large-capacity media roll; compliance with MIL-STD 810F drop tests; dual-wall construction for printhead and platen protection; integrated sub-structure for circuit-board protection; lightweight die-cast magnesium latches; recessed LCD screen and buttons; standard two-year warranty; and a full array of available accessories.
