Peter Vanacker, CEO of Treofan Group, has informed the company that he is leaving, effective February, 28, 2015. Walter Bickel will replace Vanacker in the same role on March 1.
“The owners regret Mr Vanacker’s decision. We would like to thank him for his successful strategic realignment of the Treofan Group, and we wish him all the best in his new professional challenge,” says Stefan Pfander, chairman of the board.
Bickel will continue to operate in his existing position as CFO. Bickel has made a name for himself in restructuring companies and implementing efficiency-boosting programs at SMEs and groups.
Carolyn Wagner will also join Treofan on March 1 as head of the packaging business unit. After graduating in packaging engineering, Wagner began her career at German carton board manufacturer Weig-Karton. In 2001, she joined SCA Packaging, initially as a key account manager. After SCA Packaging was acquired by DS Smith in mid-2012, she became managing director for the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region.
