Chemsultants International, Inc., a Mentor, OH based company, has announced that Fish Allure’s fishing bait product has been named an AIMCAL award winner.
Each year, AIMCAL recognizes the best products and technologies in the industry through the AIMCAL Awards Competition. This year, the Technical Excellence Award has been presented to Chemsultants for this newly developed fishing bait accessory. This technology award is designated for a significant new technology having an impact on the converting industry or the consuming market.
“We won this award from this respected organization and are proud to see the impact, not only from winning the award, but also through the increased recognition from consumers who agree that we’ve created an amazing product,” says David Westerfield, commercial director of Chemsultants. “Our focus on this product design was to make a technically advanced product that is cool, easy to use, and incredibly efficient. Fish Allure, adhesive-backed scent strip, has done just that and is revolutionizing the sport of fishing.”
The product was introduced to the fishing community on a national level during the summer of 2014. It was well received by many of the nation’s top fishing professionals, merchants and distributors because of the way it works. It is essentially a scented release tab that adheres to a hard lure. Upon hitting the water, the hydrophilic polymer matrix releases a scent (amino acids) that attracts fish.
This scent has been scientifically researched to trigger the fish’s olfactory glands and causes the fish to bite. Since the platform technology releases small molecules over a period of time rather than “dumping” the molecules at once, it allows the user to have 60 minutes of scent without having to reapply, like a spray or a gel.
