Primeflex Labels was founded in 1997, and since its inception, the Colorado-based converter has experienced steady growth every year. To meet the increasing demand, the company decided to invest in a Nilpeter 8-color FB-3 servo flexo press.
“When we compared the total package that Nilpeter offered versus the competition, our decision was easy”, says president and original founder of Primeflex Labels, Tom Cummings. ”The overall technology, capabilities, support and value package offered by Nilpeter really set the standard.”
What drew Primeflex Labels to the FB-3 was its high level of automation and ease of use to minimize waste and increase efficiency.
“Making the switch from an all Mark Andy shop over to Nilpeter wasn’t a decision that was taken lightly,” Tom Cummings explains. “Nilpeter was with us from day one and helped guide us through the transition. I feel Nilpeter is setting the innovation standard and we’re excited to partner with them as our company continues to grow. In fact, we’re so impressed, we plan to put an order in for our next press in the coming weeks.”
Primeflex focuses on labels for food and beverages, cosmetics, consumer products, meat products, as well as flexible packaging, such as pouches and wraparounds. The new press is a multi-substrate, servo-driven flexo press with UV-curing, which runs up to 560 fpm. The press features Nilpeter’s CleanInking chambers.
The press was installed in mid-March.
