Sun Chemical guest speakers will talk about a wide range of solutions and trends in the packaging market at four sessions during the Flexible Technical Association’s 2015 Annual Forum and INFO*FLEX Conference.
The following lectures will take place at the FTA Annual Forum. Penny Holland, vice president of marketing for North American Inks, will speak at 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 3 in a presentation entitled, “Upside Down or Inside Out: What’s Next in Packaging.” He is a featured co-chair of the session.
Panelist senior color physicist Danny Rich will present at 8:00-9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4 about, “De-Geek the Geeks: From Cloudy to Clear.”
At INFO*FLEX, Field Product Manager Viviane Ramsey will show how Sun Chemical’s SunLase™ laser marking solutions can allow variable coding graphic information, such as barcodes, QR codes, and “Use By” dates or branding, to be created using a low power CO2 or fiber laser to change the color of a pre-printed coating patch to black where marked, with no risks to the packaged product. Her presentation is entitled, “Cleaner. Faster. Better Laser Marking Systems by Sun Chemical” and will take place on Monday, May 4 at 3 p.m.
Field product manager Helen Rallis will also discuss Sun Chemical’s SunInspire sensory coatings line, which offers special effects that allow a customers’ product packaging to stand out on store shelves visually through high luster metallic, fluorescent, glitter, pearlescent, as well as iridescent finishes. She will deliver her presentation, “How to Use Special Effects to Create Blockbuster Packaging” at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5.
