CS Labels has been awarded the BRC Global Standard accreditation for packaging. The digital printer has developed a manufacturing facility designed to comply with these standards as part of its ongoing expansion plan, which also recently included a six-figure investment into one of the fastest digital presses in the world.
The BRC standards guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that packaging manufacturers fulfill their legal obligations and provide protection for the end user. CS Labels have been awarded accreditation for “high risk.”
“The team, led by technical sales director Andrew Mansfield and supported by Elaine Fletcher, have worked hard to achieve these extremely high BRC standards,” says Simon Smith. “BRC adds that official ‘tick in the box’ to confirm to retailers that our packaging and processes are safe and legal. If you are supplying into clients that request this standard, or you as a business need this level, then you can be sure that you are complying packaging wise if you are using CS Labels. Our accreditation covers the manufacturing of labels and will also cover our brand new digital flexible pouches as part of our expansion into other areas of packaging.”
The company utilizes Xeikon’s digital presses, and its client base includes global brand names like Twinings and Mars, in addition to many other small to medium companies.
“This announcement is just another one of many that we’ll be making this year as we continue to push the boundaries of print, and its inherent capabilities to increase brand value, drive marketing campaigns and at the same time reduce operational costs,” adds Smith.
