UPM Raflatac has launched a renewed print-on-demand product range for new and existing inkjet, toner and thermal transfer print technologies in the Americas. Featuring high quality paper and film labelstiocks, this portfolio is designed for both the converter and end user.
UPM Raflatac has partnered with global leaders in the print-on-demand segment to develop versatile products that allow converters to incorporate new print technologies. These enhancements complement their existing equipment and provide a new approach to small to medium-sized print runs. With these multi-purpose labelstocks, end users can print and apply labels on-demand, when and where they need them.
“We are committed to upgrading our product mix as industry trends and print methods evolve,” says Daryl Northcott, director, Films & Specials Business, Americas, UPM Raflatac. “New entrants to the pressure sensitive label printing market are constantly emerging and forming their own niches, especially in print-on-demand applications. As this segment continues to grow, we are prepared to grow with it.”
LED toner, thermal transfer and continuous laser-printable; gloss white PP films that can be used for prime or VIP applications; and new durable products that conform to both sections two and three of the BS5609 standard for chemical drum labeling are among the materials new to the company’s line. These products can complement UPM Raflatac’s current toner-based solutions, UV ink-jet options and materials for water-based dye and pigmented ink-jet printers.
