TruColor Vision Systems, Inc. and OneBoxVision (OBV) have entered into an agreement to form an alliance that will broaden the product portfolio and enhance the range of inspection system solutions for all TruColor customers, end users and OEMs.
Under the agreement, OBV will provide TruColor Vision Systems, Inc. with ImageFlow, a software engine and machine vision suite for comprehensive 100% inspection solutions, which are customized to meet the specific needs of the printing industry. The partnership enables TruColor to broaden its inspection systems to now include 100% full web width inspection of every print repeat and serve as the OBV print market sales arm while insuring TruColor remains a comprehensive inspection solution provider in the web based printing and converting industries. Additionally, the alliance further broadens TruColor’s reach into the non-print (surface) inspection and sheet fed markets.

TruColor also announced the new TruColor API 100 with technology powered by ImageFlow. "The API 100 inspects the entire surface of the printed web – every repeat, on any web width, at any machine speed – true 100% inspection. It automatically detects the full spectrum of typical print defects including: misregister, dirty print, skip outs, spots, incorrect characters, streaks, scratches, splashes, hazing/scumming – all classifications of defects. Certainly, this new partnership only strengthens TruColors long time commitment to providing inspection system solutions that help today’s press rooms reduce waste, increase productivity and contribute to an increase in profitably," Doerr says.
