Durst and LinoGroup have agreed to a distribution and service partnership for the label markets in Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Israel and Romania. LinoGroup represents several international manufacturers in the territory and is a full service provider for the large format graphic arts, label and package printing industries. With the new exclusive cooperation, LinoGroup is expanding its portfolio with the digital Durst UV Inkjet Printer System Tau 330.
“In view, of the forthcoming major events of the printing industry, such as Label Expo 2015 and Drupa 2016, the Durst printers and the already announced developments of the Durst printing technologies provide positive momentum for the inkjet digital label market,” says Lefteris Havouzis.
The Durst Label & Package Printing Division offers the Tau Series of UV inkjet solutions for the label and specialty package printing market. The Durst Tau systems provide high print quality and the required flexibility to produce fast, efficient and profitable small and medium print runs. Durst developed the Tau systems to expand the application fields to primary food packaging and to deliver an automated end-to-end workflow to streamline production.
The successful market launch in 2013 was marked by close to 60 installations worldwide, and the Tau 330 is now also available for the production demands of label manufacturers in Greece and surrounding territories.
The Tau 330 is equipped with Xaar 1002 Single-Pass Printheads and has a maximum print width of 330 mm with a maximum print speed of 48 running meters per minute. This allows a production capacity of 950 sqm per hour. The Tau 330 industrial scale jumbo roll unwinder/rewinder units can handle rolls of 1000 mm diameter or roll lengths up to 4000 linear meters.
The standard ink configuration of CMYK can be upgraded on-demand with White and two additional process colors such as Orange and Purple, which are indispensable for label applications with a pantone color space.
