Cosmo Films, a specialty manufacturer of BOPP Films, has unveiled its range of barrier films. The company’s portfolio features transparent, metalized and anti-fog barrier films. These films can also facilitate the need for laminate structure rationalization.
“We are focused on addressing the unmet needs of the industry, and our latest range of barrier films addresses the most important of them all – enhanced shelf life and laminate structure rationalization,” explains Pankaj Poddar, chief executive officer, Cosmo Films.
Cosmo’s range of barrier films includes transparent films, highlighted by Aroma Barrier Films for coffee/tea and spices packaging High Oxygen Barrier Films for biscuits packaging and High Oxygen & Aroma Barrier Films for ready to eat pack applications.
Metalized films feature High Moisture Barrier Films for sandwich lamination in shampoo sachets, dry milk powder and powdered drinks sachets/packs where loss of moisture is a concern. High Moisture Barrier with high seal strength films are used for bulk packs needing moisture barrier, and Ultra High Barrier films are designed for foods with fatty contents such as dry fruits, chips and cream biscuits packs.
The company also makes anti-fog films, which extend the shelf life of fresh cut vegetables/fruits and meat packs that need to be refrigerated in sub-zero temperatures by an additional 4-7 days while also lending hot and cold anti-fog properties.
