The Gravure Association of Americas has announced that Inland, a leader in advanced packaging technology headquartered in La Crosse, WI, USA, has been recognized as a Golden Cylinder Award recipient. Inland was awarded within the Packaging & Label - Paper category for its Guinness Blonde Ale American Lager labels.
In the same week, Inland was announced as a winner in TLMI’s 38th Annual Label Awards Competition. Inland received First Place - All Processes/Cut & Stack - Line/Prime and Best of Class - Other recognition with its Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout labels. Inland also received First Place in the All Processes/Cut & Stack - Color Process - Prime category with its Hormel Buffalo Style Chicken labels.
"We are very honored to receive these awards on behalf of our labels," says Isaac Zickert, Inland's operations manager at the company’s West Avenue, La Crosse facility. "With the long history our company has in the gravure industry, it's wonderful to remain at the top of printing excellence with the likes of those submitted in the GAA and TLMI award competitions."
Golden Cylinder award entries were judged on a series of standards, including job difficulty, image quality, and visual impact - among others. The winning gravure process entry was chosen by a panel of judges consisting of experts in the gravure industry. These judges spent two days in Rochester, NY, judging the industry's best offerings and products. Inland was presented with the Golden Cylinder Award at the GAAmericas Technical Forum in Charlotte, NC during a luncheon ceremony on Thursday, October 8, 2015.
Inland's TLMI awards were received at their 2015 Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs, CO on Saturday, October 10th, 2015. The annual awards competition aims to recognize technical achievement in all areas of the narrow web industry, including tags and labels, cartons, flexible packaging, non-woven pressure-sensitives and more.
