Atlas Die has announced the recent appointment and return of Ken Smott as president and CEO. Smott is returning to a post he held until one year ago and is replacing Scott Daniel, who is departing as president and CEO.
“Atlas continues to be the premier die and die system supplier to the packaging and converting industry,” says Smott. “I am both delighted and honored to once again be able to serve the leading converting companies with the most knowledgeable and innovative design and manufacturing teams in the industry.”
Smott previously held the position of president and CEO for 15 years, leading the steel rule, rotary and solid tooling divisions operating under the Atlas Die, Atlas Chem-Milling and Bernal brands. Smott has also served on various boards, as well being awarded the Volunteer Leader Award of Excellence in 2015 by the Paperboard Packaging Council.
